Julie Houghton

 

Julie is one of the most senior instuctors at NWEC and oversees the training of students and young horses. Julie has competed in all major disciplines and has a wealth of experience. She is also a qualified Reiki practitioner

Julie is a free-lance teacher of dressage, eventing and show-jumping and will provide schooling for problem horses. Julie can help with preparation for the riding elements of exams.

  • Working on an Arab Stud Farm
  • Working Pupil - Oriel School, Cheltenham - BHASI
  • Royal 'Dick' Veterinary College, Edinburgh - teaching vet students horse management
  • Austria - becoming head girl - trained by John Lasseter, Bill Davidson (BHSI), Steve Brockett (King's Troop Instructor), as well as visiting instructors, including Danny Pevsner FBHS.
  • Munich - teaching in a private yard
  • Park Farm School of Riding, Northwood, Middlesex

- Head Girl in charge of 120 Horses and 24 Staff and Students

  • Trained for BHSI with Wendy Maye BHSI and competed in dressage, eventing and show-jumping
  • Ran West Midlands Equitation Centre for two years
  • Warwick College - Horse Business Management Course
