Amy Parkes
Amy first came to NWEC as a work experience student, while studying for her National Diploma in Horse Management at
She has ridden and owned horses for most of her life, following in the footsteps of her mother and grandmother before her, and taken and passed the internationally recognised Pony Club examinations up to C+ level.
After completing her Diploma Amy came to work full-time at NWEC and has since gained NVQ 3 in Horse Care and passed the ACET examination enabling her to accompany travelling horses as a groom.
Amy is responsible for the day to day running of the livery yard and accompanies hacks, as well as schooling both livery and riding school horses on a regular basis.
She has competed at One Day and Three Day Events at Novice level and Dressage at Elementary. She also competes at County level Showing and has educated the young Haflinger Stallion Stagsden Amarettp (Rocky) to this level. |
